EFFECT OF ROUND TRIP TIME ON THE TRANSIENT ANALYSIS OF LUMPED PARAMETER R-C CIRCUIT USING ONE DIMENSIONAL TRANSMISSION LINE MODELING (TLM) METHOD

Although the circuit containing capacitor can be analyzed using classical technique but this method is tedious due to the presence of differential equations. To solve this problem a research work on TLM method as a circuit solver was carried out from July to December, 2016 at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Dinajpur. Because TLM method was free from differential equations. The sample circuit was modeled to derive the required algebraic equation using stub model of the TLM method. Then, the effect of the round trip time on the transient analysis of lumped parameter R-C circuit was observed. Then, the analytical results using TLM method for different round trip time were compared with classical method for proving the validity of this method. Finally the range of the round trip time was proposed in which the analytical result using TLM method was similar to an excellent agreement to the classical method.
