Meat producing poultry, broiler were measured as an important animal protein source in most of countries including Bangladesh. High-end elite markets of Khulna, Bangladesh were chosen to represent the markets for broilers/poultry meat for conducting this study during January 2017 to June 2017 through semi-structured questionnaire and data were collected from 30 different respondents who were related to commercial broiler supply channel in Khulna region. The purpose of this research was to reveal that with increasing competition and changes occurring in markets, producers need to understand and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the commercial broiler supply chain. These types of study were often required a combination of firm-level actions as well as improvements in the entire value-chain. Supply chains of individual farms linked with final market via intermediate companies were becoming a normal business phenomenon. Yet at present, it was not clear how such supply chain networks can achieve stability/sustainability in terms of structured network to gain benefits, meeting demand and supply and achieving highest productivity. Based on this causality, this study examined the commercial broiler supply chain with a view of conducting the economic analysis of the supply chain.
