EFFECTIVE EDUCATION MANAGEMENT AT SECONDARY LEVEL IN BANGLADESH: AN ALL-INCLUSIVE APPROACH

Education, being one of the vital factors for
the growth of human potentials plays the most important role to build the
economy of a country like Bangladesh. In the entire gamut, secondary education
builds the foundation of national education. The main focus of the present
paper is to analyze the determinants (i.e., academic results, co-curricular activities, students’ enrollment,
teachers’ job satisfaction and students’ attendance) of secondary education
management system along with the means that may contribute positively to take
this sector to a newer height. The study area encompasses the secondary
education system in Bangladesh that has been manifested within a time period
from the liberation to 2019. The objective of the study is to showcase the
current state of secondary education in Bangladesh and simultaneously to
delineate the ways to improve upon. The
participants of this study include the teachers, students, parents, headmaster
and managing committee. Current state of this sector has been figured out with
recent data. It has also pointed out the challenges under four heads namely
legislative, financial, perceptional and logistic challenges on the way to
materialization program. The study wraps up with a few feasible
recommendations.
