EVALUATION OF TWENTY TWO SUMMER TOMATO GERMPLASM UNDER POLYSHED CONDITION

An experiment was accomplished in the Horticulture farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh during April-July, 2015 to conduct morpho-physiological study of twenty two summer tomato germplasm under polyshed condition. The Germplasm denoted G1: ACI summer King, G2: BINA Tomato 2, G3: BINA Tomato 3, G4: AVTO- 09809, G5: AVTO-1007, G6: AVTO-1009, G7: AVTO-1002, G8: AVTO-201, G9: BARI-4, G10: Lakshi, G11: JP-13, G12: JP-26, G13: JP-27, G14: Sweden-2, G15: Netherland-13, G16: Sweeden-5, G17: Apple Netherlands, G18: SAU san-001, G19: MAL-3, G20: Purple-4, G21: CSN-1, G22: Orange 4 were evaluated arranging in a Randomized Complete Blocked Design (RCBD) with three replications. Among the germplasm, maximum no. of leaves plant-1 (60.2), no. of flower plant-1 (64.0), no. of fruit (40.0), single fruit weight (100.7 g), yield plant-1 (4.7 kg) and yield ha-1 (35.7 ton) was obtained from G4. So the germplasm G4, viz., AVTO-09809 can be recommended as a prospective variety for summer production.
