YIELD PERFORMANCE OF SUITABLE HYBRID RICE VARIETIES IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS OF BANGLADESH

Six rice hybrids from Supreme Seed Company Limited were evaluated for yield performance of eight different locations, viz., Trishal and Sadar upazilla at Mymesingh, Bangabondu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Comilla, Jessore, Bagerhat, Sirajgonj and Thakurgaon in Bangladesh under Regional Research Program of Supreme Seed Company limited. The field experiment was conducted during Boro in 2013-2014 were laid in randomized block design with three replications to assess the performance of Six hybrid rice varieties. Based on Days to maturity, spikelet sterility status, effective panicles per plant, plant height, number of tillers per plant, number of seeds per panicle and spikelet fertility status the highest average yield was recorded 9.36 t/ha for Heera-1 than, Subornow 3, PAN 809, PAN 802, SHD 526 and SHD 85 in different locations in Bangladesh.
